Since 1983 on the first weekend in October Port Townsend,   Washington plays host to a most  unique event.

 The Kinetic Sculpture race is a  challenge to build a Human powered vehicle that is able to complete a course that includes City streets, the waters of Puget Sound, Sand, and the Dismal Bog.
